ISC East, which was scheduled to take place in New York City, Nov. 18-19, 2020, has been cancelled in favour of a half-day virtual event.
The security conference joins many others that have been cancelled or postponed due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sister show ISC West was moved multiple times before settling on its own virtual event on Oct. 5-7.
According to a statement posted on the ISC East website: “As a means to help connect the community and to recognize the hard work and achievements of security and public safety professionals and leaders this year, ISC East, along with SIA and ASIS NYC, will be hosting a half day ISC East virtual event on Wednesday Nov. 18, 2020 including the prestigious ASIS NYC Person of the Year Award and curated education sessions. In addition, ISC East attendees and supporters are all welcome and encouraged to participate in the ISC West 2020 Virtual Event, taking place online Oct. 5-7, which is free for all to attend.”
ISC East 2021 is scheduled to take place at the Javits Center in New York City on Nov. 17-18, 2021.
