Montreal special needs facility upgrades surveillance

The centre serves children age 12 and under who have one or more diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability and cerebral palsy.

Hikvision cameras will be used to provide additional security for the centre’s new, larger facility, which is open seven days a week. “It must be understood that the more space we have, the greater our need for surveillance cameras,” said Isabelle Julien, general director for the centre. “Without the cameras it would be impossible for me to see the safety and the progress of our young people.”

Eric Beaulieu, senior partner for Intelgest, which has been in business for 14 years, said the cameras will enable educators to “see the interaction between the child and educator in context without interfering with the dynamic of the interaction.”

Intelgest will install the Hikvision DS-2CD2112 1.3MP HD Dome Cameras for outdoor surveillance to secure the perimeter of the new building.
