Comtrend partners with Axis Communications
Comtrend, a designer and manufacturer of broadband communications equipment, has joined Axis Communications’ technology partner program.

“The Axis Technology Partner Program [TPP] is designed to bring to market the ‘best of class’ solutions for channel partners and their customers,” says Vince Ricco, business development nanager, TPP, Axis Communications. “We are excited to formally welcome Comtrend to the program and look forward to collaborating with such a leader in selling to service providers across North America.”
Axis provides innovative network video products for retail, transportation, critical infrastructure, perimeter security and public surveillance applications.
John DiFrenna, vice-president of sales and marketing, adds, “Comtrend has great synergy with the new Axis Companion Line, Axis’ first offering for small businesses. In one usage scenario, our customers have leveraged our expertise in the new G.hn Powerline standard to connect Axis cameras via existing Powerline wiring. It is a tremendous savings in time and expense; both installer and customer appreciate the efficiency. It’s a great beginning to a new partnership.”
As a member of the Axis TPP, Comtrend will strive to improve product compatibility with Axis and to increase successful product integration and enhance end user experience. Comtrend will increase participation in joint marketing activities, education, and development opportunities to further both companies’ success within the security market.
