New Zealand-based Integrated Control Technology (ICT), a manufacturer of intelligent access control and security solutions, is celebrating 20 years in business this year.

Founded by Hayden and Rachael Burr on Oct. 15, 2003, ICT “has grown from humble beginnings to become a globally recognized pioneer of security technologies,” according to the company.

“My vision was a unification of access control, intrusion and automation. The key part was to make it simple. We designed something that could handle intrusion, access control or building automation independently — but shows its true power when combined,” said Hayden Burr in a statement.

Today ICT secures tens of thousands of properties around the world, with the global headquarters, R&D, and manufacturing in New Zealand and offices in Canada, the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Hong Kong.

ICT said it dedicates 40 per cent of the New Zealand workforce to research and development. Further ICT expansion is underway in North America and EMEA.

“Exciting developments are on the horizon. Our new cloud-based access and security platform Protege X includes the latest cyber security protection, offering complete scalability and unified management. You can also expect to see several new releases as ICT embarks on further growth in 2024,” added Burr.

ICT offered “a heartfelt thanks” to all its partners for their contributions to the company’s success.
