The app provides local control of the security system, and if so equipped, control of Z-Wave enabled lights, locks, thermostats and more. This approach helps homeowners save money on energy and utility bills, conserve resources and live a more comfortable, efficient lifestyle.

For dealers, the company recently released a free demo app for both iOS and Android platforms, which works on compatible tablets and smartphones and allows dealers to demonstrate the product’s security, home automation and tornado warning functions to prospective customers anytime, anywhere – without the need for a physical key pad or demo case.

Homeowners can download the new iOS app for local control from Apple’s iTunes Store for a one-time fee of $9.99.

Dealers can download the free demo iOS app at Apple’s iTunes Store, or the Android app from Google.

In addition to security, the LYNX Touch wireless, self-contained system gives homeowners control of Z-Wave-enabled home automation systems such as lighting, locks, thermostats and garage doors. It also now features push content via Honeywell Total Connect Remote Services for weather, traffic and news. The system features a full-color touchscreen display with intuitive prompts and graphic icons.
