August 17, 2022  By  SP&T Staff

Hikvision is introducing the K-Series Network Video Recorders (NVRs) with AcuSense video analytics.

Equipped with embedded AcuSense technology, this NVR series employs deep learning algorithms to detect and classify targets, focusing exclusively on human and vehicle events to produce alarms.

“Our new K-Series NVRs provide intelligent AcuSense video analytics for any connected data stream to make video security systems smarter and more proactive,” said John Xiao, vice president of Marketing, Hikvision USA in a statement.

“This combined with enhanced decoding capacity, quick target searches, and advanced motion detection, make the K-Series NVRs an extremely cost-effective and high-value alternative to current recording solutions.”

Hikvision’s K-Series plug-and-play NVRs support up to 16 IP cameras at up to 12MP. Users can simultaneously achieve live view and playback of up to 12 channels at 1080p and remotely manage their NVR using the Hik-Connect mobile app. Other available smart functions include all channel target classification based on Motion Detection 2.0 technology, intrusion detection, as well as VCA event support.

K-Series NVRs also feature H.265+, H.265, H.264+, H.264 and MPEG4 compression to maximize available recording and transmission bandwidth.
