At the first stage, the center enables government agencies in Canada and the U.S. to review the source code for a range of select IP cameras and Network Video Recorders (NVRs) sold by Hikvision in a secure environment.

“In the past year we have put in place a dedicated North American cybersecurity team and added new cybersecurity resources for our partners. Building on our recent efforts, we’re pleased to establish the industry’s first Source Code Transparency Center,” said Jeffrey He, president of Hikvision Canada Inc. and Hikvision USA Inc.

Chuck Davis, director of cybersecurity for Hikvision North America, said the company is committed to developing products and solutions that conform to the highest security.

To request access to the SCTC, agencies can contact a member of the Hikvision sales team. The Hikvision sales team member will work with parties to schedule an appointment to visit the SCTC and provide the required nondisclosure agreement for signature.
