Concept Frames is a manufacturer of custom-made steel doors and frames for commercial and industrial door and window applications in the U.S., while Pioneer Industries manufactures steel doors and frames for commercial applications in the U.S.

Concept Frames, founded in 1982, has approximately 68 employees, with its head office and factory located in Newton, North Carolina.

“I am very pleased to welcome Concept Frames into the ASSA ABLOY Group,” said Lucas Boselli, executive vice president of ASSA ABLOY and head of the Americas division. “Concept Frames is a complementary addition to ASSA ABLOY and adds to our leadership in the door and frame category in North America.”

Pioneer, a SDI (Steel Door Institute) certified manufacturer, will continue to be led by its management team, with support from its employees and distribution channel partners, said Kent Winter, president, Door Group, ASSA ABLOY Americas.

“The addition of Pioneer allows us to fortify our steel door and frame offering in the U.S. and in particular, the Atlantic region,” said Boselli.

Founded in 1930, Pioneer has approximately 100 employees, with its head office and factory in Carlstadt, New Jersey. The acquisition of the company is conditional upon satisfaction of customary closing conditions and is expected to close in Q2 of 2018.
