Qognify stated Wednesday that it has completed the acquisition of On-Net Surveillance Systems and SeeTec GmbH that was first announced in December 2018.

The company says the acquisition makes it "one of the largest VMS, video analytics, PSIM and critical incident management companies in the world, serving mid-market and enterprise organizations."

Steve Shine, CEO and president of Qognify said in a statement: “Following the swift closing of the deal, we look forward to focusing on 2019, supporting all Qognify, OnSSI and SeeTec partners and customers, whilst substantially expanding our geographic reach and market penetration.”

Pearl River, N.Y.-based OnSSI was founded in 2002. Its Ocularis and Cayuga VMS solutions are deployed in more than 100 countries in markets including education, gaming, government, health care, manufacturing, retail, public safety, transportation and utilities, according to the company. Germany-based SeeTec, a European provider of VMS software, was acquired by OnSSI in 2015.

Qognify was acquired from NICE Systems in 2015 by Battery Ventures.
