According to ASIS International, the Global Security Exchange (GSX) conference, which was held this September at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Tex., drew nearly 16,000 registrants from 95 countries, exceeding projected attendance.
The annual conference featured a wide variety of education and networking opportunities along with an exhibit floor with more than 470 exhibitors.
“I couldn’t be prouder of the success of our annual conference and trade show. GSX is not just an event, it’s a testament to the passion, dedication and collective brilliance of our members and ASIS staff,” said Tim McCreight, president, ASIS International, in a statement. “Together, we’ve created a truly remarkable experience for security professionals across the globe that will have a long-lasting impact.”
Pre-conference events, held the weekend prior to the official show opening, included Secure Horizons: An Immersive Experience for Senior Security Executives, ASIS Volunteers’ Day, the ASIS Awards of Excellence and the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs).
GSX also featured a series of keynote addresses such as current member of the European Parliament, Radek Sikorski, and U.S. President George Bush.
The final day of GSX, Sept. 13, celebrated Military and Law Enforcement Appreciation Day and featured former CIA Officer and FBI Special Agent Tracy Walder.
GSX 2024 will take place Sept. 23-25, 2024, in Orlando, Fla.
