Genetec appoints new COO


Genetec has announced that Bill Nash has joined Genetec in the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Nash will augment Genetec’s existing executive team with his experience in successfully mentoring fast-growing high tech companies. According to Genetec, he will help formulate policies and procedures needed to proactively manage the company's anticipated growth in the coming years.

Prior to joining Genetec, Mr. Nash was the COO of Eicon Technology Corporation where he was instrumental in growing the company from four to 750 employees with revenues of $175 million. He subsequently worked for several technology companies and served on the Board of Directors for the Société d’assurance automobile du Québec, Quebec’s government-operated automobile insurance agency. During his tenure, the board oversaw the successful financial and operational restructuring of the corporation. The SAAQ has revenues of $1 billion and manages assets in excess of $8 billion.

Pierre Racz, Genetec’s CEO, said Nash’s enthusiasm, leadership skills and insight into Genetec’s operational strategies will serve as an foundation for his contribution as a member of Genetec’s management team. “We have chambered another round,” said Racz.
