Since 2005, this program has recognized organizations with corporate cultures that have helped them enhance performance and sustain a competitive advantage.

Other winning organizations in the category included Desjardins Group, National Bank Financial Group, and Pratt & Whitney Canada . Each nominated organization was evaluated based on the following criteria: vision and leadership; cultural alignment, measurement and sustainability; rewards, recognition and innovative business achievement; corporate performance; and corporate social responsibility.

“Our company is a place for inspiration, creativity and personal accomplishment that is home to talented, hard-working people. The strength of any organization resides in its ability to retain its employees,” said Joëlle Couture, CHRP, Manager, Talent Management.

Ottawa-based Senstar Corp. was awarded North American company of the year in the intrusion detection industry by analyst firm Frost & Sullivan.

“We chose Senstar based on the company’s demonstrated best practices in the intrusion detection market,” said Ankur Jajoo, research analyst for Frost & Sullivan. “Senstar outscored competing companies in all areas including excelling in its growth strategy, high degree of innovation with products and technology, industry leadership in customer value, and demonstration for expanding its partnership network.”
