FLIR Defense appoints VP of global services for surveillance

FLIR Defense, part of Teledyne Technologies, has named John Bergeron as the new vice-president of global services for its surveillance business.

Bergeron will be responsible for managing and growing the company’s service business that provides maintenance and support for its wide range of advanced imaging sensors and systems used for air, land and maritime-based surveillance operations.

FLIR Defense operates five prime service centres for its military and public safety surveillance customers worldwide – two in the United States,  plus locations in the United Kingdom, Sweden and Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The company also partners with expert local service providers at more than 30 regional service centres around the globe, close to customer bases and facilities.

Bergeron joins FLIR Defense with more than 20 years of experience leading large global teams at companies such as Raytheon and GE. He will report to Dr. JihFen Lei, executive vice-president and general manager of FLIR Defense.
