MILPITAS, Calif. — Cybersecurity firm FireEye Inc. has announced the opening of its new headquarters for FireEye Canada.

Located in the heart of the financial district in downtown Toronto, the firm says the newly renovated office reflects the growing investment FireEye is making in the Canadian market.

“We continue to expand our presence in the Canadian market, reflecting the growing opportunity in the region,” said Greg Davison, area vice-president and general manager of FireEye Canada. “The new office space is in a prime location in Canada’s largest city, and it will better enable us to serve our clients and partners, grow our team and showcase all the talent and capabilities FireEye has to offer to the Canadian security marketplace.”

The new space will accommodate approximately half of the FireEye Canadian team, including FireEye Mandiant cybersecurity consultants, system engineers, and sales and marketing personnel.

“FireEye has observed cyber espionage groups from China, Russia and Iran targeting Canada in recent years. Organizations in the government, defense, high-tech, non-profit, transportation, energy, telecommunications, education and media sectors, among others, have been impacted,” continued Davison. “Canadian organizations are increasingly targeted by these groups, and along with newer Federal and Provincial privacy laws such as PIPEDA, organizations are putting greater emphasis on their security posture. With our platform, products, threat intelligence and services, FireEye is uniquely positioned to help Canadian organizations build an effective security program and our new Canadian headquarters enables us to do that better than ever before.”
