Denis Hébert joins Security Summit Canada as keynote speaker

Security industry veteran and leader Denis Hébert will kick off Security Summit Canada, a virtual event on Feb. 10, as keynote speaker.

Hébert has served in business leadership roles for more than three decades. He is currently president and equity partner at Feenics Inc., an Access Control as a Service (ACaaS) provider based in Ottawa. He is also an investor and chairman of Nightingale Security, a Robotics as a Service (RaaS) autonomous drone security provider, and board advisor to Proxy.co (a tokenization-based identity provider), Lane Technologies (a tenant experience software provider), Autonomous_ID (a bio-sole biometric solutions provider),  and Princeton Identity (an iris-based biometrics provider). Hébert is also a consultant to multiple private equity firms.

Hébert served as Chairman of the Board for the Security Industry Association from 2016 to 2018, after having served on the board since 2008. In 2020, he was the recipient of SIA’s George R. Lippert Memorial Award, which is bestowed annually on a distinguished member of the security community.

From 2002 to 2015, Hébert was the president and CEO of HID Global Corp., where he provided strategic guidance and leadership, while growing the business tenfold through a mix of  organic development and acquisitions. As part of his divisional responsibility at HID Global, he was concurrently executive vice-president of ASSA ABLOY (2007-2015), where he contributed to corporate and strategic planning for the overall group. In addition, his previous experience includes 17 years at Honeywell International (1986-2002), having served in various leadership roles in Canada, France and the U.S.
