CANASA Québec Regional Council is on the move
February 2, 2023 By CANASA
After positive results from the spring /fall 2022 campaign, CANASA Québec’s regional council initiated a fund raising activity to increase the 2023 social media campaign budget. “The response was fabulous. Thanks to a very generous security industry, we have now the financial means to produce videos and increase our reach throughout 2023 on multiple social media platforms,” says Chantal Bélanger, president for the CANASA Québec council.
The media campaign will include key messages on ads and videos. It is kicking off in February and is aligned with the registration periods of the four schools offering the alarm technician course (DEP5296). As the trade is regulated by the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ), it is mandatory to hire an apprentice with the appropriate work permit, which is delivered when the DEP 5296 is successfully completed. It is a natural fit to include the four schools to join forces to increase the rate of registration for the security trade.
“Thanks to the industry who stepped up to the fund raising. The council feels this campaign will support the security industry’s major concern — the shortage of manpower,” says Bélanger. The fact that partially explains this situation is that schools’ registration numbers for the alarm technician are lower than usual and technicians with valuable experience are retiring.
CANASA’s regional council is welcoming everyone to attend Security Canada East and visit CANASA’s booth to view the new video. Visitors are also invited to buy their ticket to attend the Game Night that follows — a fun-filled evening of pool, blackjack and more. Early bird tickets are available.
