Ritter officially joined CANASA on Feb. 13. Previously, he was president and CEO of the Canadian Jewellers Association, executive vice-president of CLB Media Inc. (former publisher of SP&T News) and president of Gadikin International.

In an email to members announcing the resignation, the association said Ritter “was instrumental in implementing several recent initiatives, including several new Affinity partnerships and was eager to work with the newly elected Board of Directors.”

CANASA’s new board was announced at its AGM, held in Quebec last week. Ellery Demedash was elected as president for 2017-2019.
