CANASA announces Monitoring Station Symposium agenda

The Canadian Security Association has announced the agenda for its National Monitoring Station Symposium, which will be held on Oct. 18 in Toronto, the day prior to the opening of the Security Canada Central conference and exhibition.

According to the CANASA website, “This year’s Symposium content reflects the concerns shared by many monitoring station operators facing new challenges imposed by COVID, the risk of being the victim of a cyberattack and/or ransomware, new monitoring station requirements from ULC, and prioritizing of alarms with AHJ’s will be discussed.”

Symposium sessions will also include a keynote address from Gary Laframboise, Chief Fire Prevention Officer with the Oakville Fire Department, and an update on The Monitoring Association’s AVS01 from TMA president Morgan Hertel.
