Bureau de la sécurité privée GM steps down

According to the Bureau de la sécurité privée, general manager Denis Lévesque recently stepped down and his duties are currently being managed by members of the executive committee.

The Quebec organization is responsible for the enforcement of the Private Security Act, and regulates security operations in the province, including guarding, investigations, locksmiths, electronic security systems, transportation of valuables and security consulting services. The Private Security Act is marking its fifth anniversary this month, having come into effect on July 22, 2010.

In a letter announcing the departure of Lévesque, chairman of the board of directors Pierre Ricard thanked Lévesque “for his four years of dedication to the organization’s mission, which is to ensure the public’s protection and build an industry based on trust.”
