Boon Edam appoints new Americas president

Royal Boon Edam, provider of security entrances and architectural revolving doors, announced the appointment of Valerie Anderson as the new president and managing director of Boon Edam Inc., the subsidiary responsible for sales in the Americas.

“It is with confidence and enthusiasm that this appointment was agreed as Valerie has proven to be a capable and dedicated member of the team,” said Lourens Beijer, chief commercial officer at Royal Boon Edam International BV, in a statement. “We believe this is a great next step for Valerie’s experience and passion for exceeding our customer’s expectations, and a great opportunity for Boon Edam as a whole.”

Anderson has been with Boon Edam for 14 years, serving on the executive management team for the past nine.

She started her career at Boon Edam in inside sales and served as inside sales manager in 2009. In 2012, she was promoted to vice-president of product and customer support where her role then transitioned into vice-president of customer experience leading the entire customer support organization of Boon Edam Inc. In 2016, she served as vice-president and national sales manager for the north and east regions of the United States as well as Latin America. A native of North Carolina, Valerie has a degree in business management and lives in a suburb of Raleigh, N.C.

“As a sales leader and manager with over a decade of experience in the building entrances and security industry, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a dynamic group of customers and lead multiple teams to create and implement initiatives to deliver a great experience for the customer,” said Anderson. “At Boon Edam, the sale of the product is never the end of the process, it’s just the beginning. I work diligently every day to ensure our organization is performing with the customer as a purpose of their work.”
