A new look for the Security Industry Association

The Security Industry Association (SIA) recently unveiled a new logo at the ISC West show in Las Vegas.

The new logo was created with input from SIA members, the board of directors and the SIA marketing committee.

“Our logo redesign is a reflection of the strategy outlined by our Board of Directors last year,” said Jay Hauhn, chairman of the board of directors for SIA. “Members told us they wanted a logo that better reflected the organization. Just as importantly, they wanted a logo that was easy for them to use in their print and online outreach to show that they are SIA members – the recognized thought leaders in the industry.”

Hauhn is also the chief technology officer for the newly-named Tyco Integrated Security.

In 2011, SIA’s Board of Directors drafted a new strategic plan for the organization that emphasizes member interaction with the organization, and reaching out to segments of the industry that were not previously part of the organization’s core membership.

“SIA’s new logo is reflective of our membership: strong, progressive, energetic, and leading the industry into the future,” said Don Erickson, SIA’s CEO.
