This travelling display enables end-users, distributors, architects, security consultants, and system integrators to experience the latest technologies developed by the Assa Abloy group of companies.
The truck has made 129 stops so far this year, hitting cities across the U.S., Quebec and in Toronto. It’s been on the road since January and will make 220 stops completed by the end of the year and it will be back in Canada to tour the Maritimes and Western Canada next year.
“The big buzz products seem to be the wireless solutions with the locks we have and some unique cellular operating products,” says Chris Moore, vice-president of sales, Door Security Solutions Canada, Assa Abloy. “Everybody has that wow factor when they can unlock a product with a cell phone.”
“The biggest reaction we’ve had is when a customer goes into the mobile innovation showroom they can take in a sampling of all the lines we have. We have been able to take a little from all the lines and showcase them in the trailer. The end users and architects can go through and say, ‘I never thought you had some many options,’” says Moore.
Attendees were split into groups to attend the mobile innovation showroom and product expo. It was an opportunity to meet with industry leading experts from Assa Abloy and experience the latest technologies and products to address the security, life-safety, convenience and aesthetic needs for any facility.
Topics included: Advanced electronic access control, WiFi technology and electromechanical locking solutions as well as energy efficiency and Green
Complete doorways that improve thermal performance and are made with recycled and rapidly-renewable materials.
Information was also provided on services and training
specification writing, key systems management, architectural education and certification courses.
If you missed seeing the truck in Toronto, you can take a guided tour of the Mobile Innovation Showroom at ASIS October 12-14, 2010 in Dallas. The showroom will be parked on the show floor at the Assa Abloy booth, #301.
