ASSA ABLOY named preferred supplier in environmental program
Vizient focuses on helping hospitals and clinics improve the sustainability of their buildings.

NEW HAVEN — Vizient has designated ASSA ABLOY as its “Environmentally Preferred Supplier.”
The company focuses on helping hospitals and clinics improve the sustainability of their buildings. It also operates an environmentally preferred sourcing program (EPS.)
Through Vizient’s EPS, participating manufacturers like ASSA ABLOY are required to provide a list of products that meet a set criteria of environmentally preferred standards and third-party certifications that prove independent auditing of environmental standards.
“ASSA ABLOY is proud to be designated an environmentally preferred Vizient-awarded supplier and excited to offer help to healthcare organizations in meeting their sustainability needs through this contract,” said Amy Musanti, sustainability director, ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Americas in a statement.
“For healthcare, we’re already able to equip facilities with security, access control, and energy-efficient door solutions that not only better protect the safety and privacy of patients, providers, and visitors but also help reduce power consumption, noise levels, and the spread of germs.”
