Armstrong’s National Alarm Monitoring announced Friday that it has acquired the monitoring assets of Montreal-based Surveillance Plus Inc.
Armstrong’s National Alarm Monitoring, based in Atlantic Canada, has provided wholesale alarm monitoring services across Canada since 1989. “With the acquisition of CML monitoring station in Edmonton in 2019, we continue to seek the opportunity to grow, and this current acquisition of Surveillance Plus Inc. is the perfect fit to meet the demands of our dealers,” said company president Gary Armstrong in a statement. “Our team is dedicated to continuing to grow and provide exceptional alarm monitoring services for the independent dealers across Canada. Surveillance Plus fits very well into Armstrong’s overall plans for third-party alarm monitoring services that now give us a local presence in the Quebec market.”
Surveillance Plus has provided alarm monitoring services to Canadians for almost two decades. The company is privately-owned and operates a ULC-listed monitoring facility. “With the fast-pace, evolving world of alarm monitoring we were looking for a quality company that would help take our dealers into the next phase of monitoring services, and we have found this with Armstrong’s,” said George Valsamis, president of Surveillance Plus.
Armstrong’s National Alarm Monitoring is ULC-listed and provides two–way audio, video verification, financial, burglary and fire monitoring, and offers bilingual services to dealers across Canada. Gary Armstrong was named to SP&T News’ annual Hall of Fame in 2020.
