New directors of marketing for Monitronics

Security monitoring company Monitronics has added two new directors of marketing: Renee Mallonee, who will focus on public releations, branding and dealer marketing; and Mike Bek, who will focus on digital marketing and analytics. This change comes at a time when the company says it is putting renewed energy toward bringing connected home capabilities to its 1.2 million customers, including smart home technology.

“I’m excited by the way our team is shaping up, continuing to position Monitronics as a leader in emerging technologies,” said Frank Guido, Monitronics’ chief marketing officer.

Mallonee has been with Monitronics for almost 10 years, and Bek brings almost 20 years of experience working in marketing, operations and customer acquisition. Mallonee and Bek will work closely to shape the brand, voice, online strategy and community presence of Monitronics moving forward, putting an emphasis on comprehensive customer communication and keeping the company ahead of the curve in smart-home technology and monitored security.
