ADT names U.S. and Canadian presidents
ADT has named Jim DeVries as its new president and Steve Hopkins as president of ADT Canada. DeVries previously served as ADT’s chief operating officer and will continue to report to ADT’s CEO Tim Whall. Hopkins was previously the interim leader for ADT’s Canadian operations and will report to DeVries.
DeVries joined ADT last year. His previous role was as executive vice-president for Allstate’s brand operations. DeVries’ responsibilities going forward will include leading ADT’s sales and marketing efforts, installation and field service, customer care and support, business operations, national account operations, human resources, and ADT’s nationwide authorized dealer network.
“Jim’s leadership style and experience in large, complex organizations has made a significant impact on the ADT turnaround since joining our organization last May,” said Whall in a statement. “We’re growing our business by retaining our current customer base, acquiring new customers more effectively, delivering upon our customer experience promise, and managing the daily business to improve operational efficiency – all the components that will create our winning formula. I’m confident in Jim’s ability to successfully lead the company, execute our plans, accelerate our growth, and make ADT an even stronger leader in the marketplace.”
Other changes at ADT: Jamie Haenggi has been named chief sales and marketing officer; and Dan Bresingham has been named chief administrative officer, leading the company’s M&A strategy, business operations and HR. Bresingham was previously chief of staff.
