Anixter’s Peter Levoy receives BICSI award

Peter Levoy, Anixter’s vice-president of channel sales in Canada, received the 2016 Larry G. Romig award during the 2016 BICSI Winter Conference & Exhibition in Orlando, Florida.

Named in honor of BICSI’s first director, the Larry G. Romig Committee Member of the Year Award honors exemplary efforts and dedication to work activities performed as a member of a BICSI committee.

As part of his BICSI work, Levoy is currently the chair of the BICSI Cares Committee, a current member of the Global Development Committee and a current member of the Membership Outreach & Development Committee. He also served as the BICSI Canadian regional director for four years and as a member of the Board of Directors for four years.

“To be selected for this award is truly an honor,” Levoy said. “I believe that it is extremely important to give back to this industry wherever and whenever you can.”

Levoy is a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) and a past recipient of the BICSI Ross G. H. Cotton Canadian Region Award. He is also the director and secretary of the Canadian Communications Cabling Fire Safety Association, a not-for-profit industry organization that promotes voice and data communications cables that provide a high level of fire safety in Canada’s commercial and residential buildings.
