Alula Services create community for alarm system response

The new service enhancements are designed to help reduce false alarms and related penalties.

In an effort to reduce false alarms, Alula has introduced two new components to its offerings, Alula Messenger and Alarm Verification Services.

The company explained that the new features enable users to create a community for real-time response to system alerts and alarms by adding that system owners can maintain the community, adding family members and neighbours to their response groups.

Users can employ the home monitoring and control platform to check on inadvertent alarm activations, temperature or water leak alerts from within a home, elderly adults living independently and ensuring that children arrive home safely from school.

Community members may act on alerts and alarms resulting from detected intrusion events and day-to-day activities based on video clips from integrated cameras. The user’s response team receives real-time notifications and communicates with other members through the Alula Smart Security App.

The new service enhancements are designed to help reduce false alarms and related penalties. The systems allow users to create and maintain their contacts lists to help them stay up to date on the details of any alerts.

Alula explained that the creation and maintenance of lists is a responsibility that is too often left to alarm dealers or monitoring centres. As a result, companies and their clients miss opportunities to make regular updates which leaves monitoring centres struggling to locate the right people and wasting time and money when they respond to events.

“Both Alarm Verification Services and Alula Messenger enable system owners to create an established support community,” Warren Hill, Alula’s vice president of marketing, said in a statement.

“These new tools enable community members to quickly investigate, collaborate and communicate with each other and their monitoring centre.”

Alula says these new features will bundle with other system services and be available exclusively through professional alarm dealers and system integrators.
