Aimetis working to increase U.S. presence

The United States market has become a key focus for Ontario-based Aimetis Corp., a provider of intelligent video management software. The company plans to increase its U.S. sales team by ten people. The roles will include regional sales managers (RSM), field sales engineers (FSE), and vertical-specific business development managers (BDM).

“I am very excited about our growth strategy for the U.S. market,” said David Almasi, vice-president global sales at Aimetis. “These initial five new team members bring a deep knowledge of the security industry and a high technical aptitude that will help propel us to strong results and increased market share in the United States.”

The expansion comes after a strategic decision at Aimetis to increase presence in the U.S. market and to continue to build strong relationships with end users, key integrators, and distributors.

As part of this expansion, Aimetis announced five new team members:
Gary Sawyers – RSM for Northeast U.S., with 20+ years of experience in the security industry, most recently with Axis Communications;
Jose Chevere – RSM for Southeast U.S., with 20+ years in sales, most recently with IPConfigure;
Steve Smith – RSM for Southwest U.S., with 20+ years in sales, most recently with Axis Communications;
Joe Stephens – FSE Western U.S., with 20+ years of technical experience, most recently with Axis Communications.
Ryan Johnson – FSE Western U.S., with 15+ years of technical experience, most recently with Warren Associates.
