ADT clears one hurdle in sale to Apollo Global
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission granted early termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 with respect to the acquisition of ADT by Apollo Global Management.
March 11, 2016 By SP&T Staff
The termination of the waiting period satisfies one of the conditions to the closing of the pending acquisition and merger, which remains subject to other customary closing conditions, including ADT stockholder approval. The acquisition of ADT is expected to be completed by June 2016.
The acquisition is to be followed by a merger with Protection 1. The combined company will operate primarily under the ADT brand.
