Woodbine Entertainment on track for DVR, software upgrade

VMS is a very recent addition to Ottawa-based March Networks' portfolio, having acquired it from Italian firm Cieffe last year. Now rebranded and integrated into March’s security offerings, longstanding customer Woodbine, based in Toronto, is one of its earliest users.

Sensor is weather resistant
In the Feb. 19 2009 SP&T e-news incorrect information appeared regarding Honeywell's new wireless outdoor motion detector, the 5800PIR-OD. The detector has a range adjustable to 12 metres and animal immunity, and requires that two passive infrared sensors be tripped before triggering the alarm. The sensor is weather resistant and can operate at a temperature range of-20 to 50 Celsius. A different temperature range appeared in the previous product outline.

Bosch releases embedded DVR

Bosch has released their first embedded DVR with support for both analogue and IP video streams—the Divar XF. It can record video from up to 16 analogue inputs and eight IP cameras, supports real-time performance, and uses H.264 video compression for high-resolution images at a reduced bandwidth and archiving cost.

ADI teams up with Stardot to offer IP video systems to dealers

ADI has announced an agreement with StarDot Technologies to offer their advanced IP video solutions at branches across Canada. Dealers will now have access to the NetCam SC Series of Multi-Megapixel Hybrid IP Cameras. Designed for the security industry, the NetCam SC is a full featured high definition surveillance camera that is available in 1.3, 3 and five megapixel resolutions. StarDot cameras deliver superior image quality with simultaneous analogue and IP video streams.


Sielox upgrades UPS system

Sielox will unveil its newest software version 7, Pinnacle Web, Pinnacle Argos and UPS system at Booth 22077 ISC West, April 1-3, 2009. Sielox’s Pinnacle version 7 provides scalability from entry level to enterprise with unlimited expandability and complete compatibility with leading third party solutions.
