With Canadian operations based in Toronto, BCI Networks provides a full range of integrated communications products and services to help Canadian businesses communicate better, and the company integrates Status Solutions‘ Situational Awareness and Response Assistant (SARA), an automated alerting engine. “BCI has been our No. 1 sales partner in Canada for the last five years, making them strategic to our success within the country,” says Mike MacLeod, Status Solutions’ president. “This announcement highlights their strong and consistent performance and sets a high bar for the rest of our channel both in Canada and the United States.”

BCI Networks serves a growing number of customers in the long-term care and retirement industry in Canada. “Being able to provide SARA to customers with existing facilities or those with new developments certainly strengthens their safety and security infrastructures and makes us a stronger technology partner for them,” says Mark Seidenfeld, president of BCI Networks. “As technology keeps improving, it’s important for our clients to have the tools they need to run safe and efficient environments.”

Status Solutions entered the Canadian market in 2009, gaining significant traction in senior living with expansion into higher education and other markets. “There’s no shortage of opportunities to help Canadian organizations get strategic about risk management by using situational awareness to protect people, property and business operations,” MacLeod explains. “Mark and his team certainly have taken up the cause, working with customers to add significant value and additional protections for the people they serve.”

With an established Canadian channel, Status Solutions is “excited to see more deployments of situational awareness and response management plus the adoption of complementary solutions,” MacLeod adds. For example, CATIE, which stands for Communication and Access To Information Everywhere, is a communication and self-service technology for retirement communities and other hospitality environments.

As part of the Canadian Channel Partner of the Year recognition, a BCI Networks executive will receive an all-expense paid trip to a luxury resort, part of the Status Solutions President’s Club for top-performing channel partners. The other winners/President’s Club inductees will be notified and provided with trip details as soon as they are finalized.
