The purchase of the Security Group business took effect on April 1, 2016. In a statement released one month after the acquisition, Paladin said its commitment to the Greater Victoria marketplace has expanded and diversified rapidly.

Chad Kalyk, vice-president, Paladin Security B.C., says: “The Security Group acquisition allows us to further enhance our service capabilities in B.C.’s capital city. As our business enters its 10th year of operations in Victoria, and 40th year of service nation-wide, we are firmly committed to growing our local market presence and expanding our quality driven, holistically approached security solutions to benefit all clients in the region.”

Founded in 1987, Security Group provides a full range of security services. “Over the past twenty-eight years, Grant and Nadine Breiland have established and taken care of a diverse range of valued clients. We are truly honoured to know that they believe Paladin Security is the best organization to continue providing quality service to their respected clients,” says Shane Wright, Paladin Security’s director of operations for Vancouver Island.

He continues: “Living within the same local communities as Security Group’s clients, our Island-based management team takes this growth of responsibility seriously; we are committed to promoting their legacy indefinitely.”
