Maple Armor to manufacture in Quebec

Maple Armor Canada Inc. will build a new plant to manufacture fire alarm systems in Quebec, a move that will create 70 jobs once the plant is operational.

August 25, 2014  By The Canadian Press

Solutions D’alarme Incendie Maple Armor, one of the first Chinese companies to invest in manufacturing in that province, says it will invest $30 million in the plant.

It’s expected to begin production by the end of 2015.

The company says it chose to set up operations in North America because of its highly qualified labour force and because it provided easy access to new markets.

Maple Armor Canada is part of Beida Jade Bird Universal Fire Alarm Devices Ltd., a subsidiary of the Chinese company Beida Jade Bird Group.
