Ouimette will lead Genetec business growth and nurture new market opportunities for Genetec in Australia and New Zealand.

In Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, Ouimette and Hills will work with channel partners and end-users to introduce flexible, unified security systems supported by Genetec Security Center and its catalog of hardware and services. Hills offers Genetec Security Center as its exclusive physical IP security system. Hills also offers a wide portfolio of complementary security technology hardware and edge devices including IP CCTV cameras, IP access control hardware and IP intercoms.

“Working for a globally recognized, technology leader like Genetec, I’ve been able to learn about and recognize regional differences and drivers that will benefit the growing Oceania market,” said Ouimette. “The security market in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands is growing at an exponential rate and it is an exciting time to work together with Hills Australia to address the region’s security requirements with our extensive portfolio of innovative technologies.”

Ouimette has 18 years of experience in the physical security industry. He will transfer from the Genetec Montréal headquarters, where he served as director of strategic alliances. In that role, Ouimette built a global ecosystem of technology partners, ensuring they were certified to develop and support hardware and software-compliant edge devices and systems for the Genetec security platform, Security Center.

Hills CEO, David Lenz said, “We are genuinely excited by Genetec’s continued interest and investment in the Australian and New Zealand markets and, with Genetec Security Center a recent winner of the Product of the Year Award for Excellence and Innovation for CCTV at the ASIAL Security Industry Awards 2016, the timing is right to drive new business in this growing market.”
