G4S Canada and UCIT provide remote concierge
G4S Canada and UCIT Online Security have formed a strategic alliance that will deliver remote audio and video concierge services to residential properties throughout Canada. The agreement covers the provision and service of video and audio monitoring and building management solutions.

The companies say this state-of-the-art video and audio technology complements on-site security personnel at a fraction of the cost of traditional solutions. “We are very excited at the opportunities afforded by this new partnership, and to expand the range of clients deploying the Remote Concierge solution,” said Tim Saunders, chief business development officer, G4S Canada. “This new partnership will deliver technology innovation, service excellence, and strong customer focus designed specifically for the needs of the residential property market.”
Remote Concierge, developed by UCIT Online Security, uses video and audio collaboration tools, along with sophisticated equipment, remote access control and other technologies, to remotely manage buildings and provide on-demand customer service. The companies say this state-of-the-art video and audio technology complements on-site security personnel at a fraction of the cost of traditional solutions.
UCIT says Remote Concierge provides property managers with a cost effective alternative that can save a condo corporation anywhere from $60,000 – $100,000 per year. “The bundled offering of technology and people power will truly provide a seamless end-user experience that effectively combines tasks of a concierge with advanced security and access control,” explains Rob Cherun, CEO of UCIT Online Security.
The full package of integrated technology services – including surveillance, visitor control, parking management and package/delivery management – enhances a building’s security profile while increasing the effectiveness of building management.
