Since founding FireMon in 2004, Brazil has guided FireMon through a period of corporate growth and achievement. Recording the most successful year in company history in 2014, FireMon doubled its revenues and expanded customer deployments to more than 1,000 in 50 countries — including over 100 of the Fortune 500 and 25 of the Fortune 100. Notably, prompted by the phenomenal momentum generated under Brazil’s leadership, in 2014, top global private equity and venture capital firm Insight Venture Partners acquired a majority interest in FireMon.

Building on the company’s 2014 accomplishments, in April 2015 Brazil led FireMon in its acquisition of California-based Immediate Insight. By integrating Immediate Insight with the company’s award-winning proactive security intelligence platform, FireMon is creating the industry’s first dedicated solution to combine detailed, actionable network security intelligence with real-time event analysis to improve security management and operational efficiency.

“I’m so honoured to be named EY’s Entrepreneur Of The Year. This award is really for everyone at FireMon as well as our customers — a testament to their tremendous vision, dedication and commitment,” said Brazil. “With the recent addition of Jim Lewandowski as president and COO, I’m confident that we’ll enjoy even greater success as we capitalize on our next phase of worldwide company growth.”

Now in its 29th year, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year program prides itself on independent judging, bringing together a mix of business, civic and community leaders to review finalists for their product innovation and commitment to launch a company that opens a new market and drives job growth.
