After a 40-year career, with 15 years as president of Honeywell Life Safety, Mark Levy has chosen to retire. With Mark’s guidance, the Honeywell Life Safety businesses have been realigned to better serve customers and growing market demand for superior innovations. Effective immediately, Gary Lederer will serve as president of Honeywell Fire Safety, reporting to Alex Ismail, president and CEO of Honeywell’s Automation and Control Solutions (ACS).

“These internal changes are about improving our service to customers and raising the bar on the level of innovation we provide the market place. Those are the only changes our customers should see,” said Gary Lederer.

Todd Rief will continue in his current role as vice president of Honeywell Fire Systems Americas. Likewise, Tom Potosnak will remain as vice president and general manager of System Sensor Americas. Both Rief and Potosnak will report to Gary Lederer.

Honeywell Fire Safety is a leading provider of innovative fire alarm and emergency communication systems, marketed worldwide through the Honeywell-endorsed brands of Fire-Lite Alarms, Gamewell-FCI, NOTIFIER, and Silent Knight. System Sensor is a global manufacturer of fire detection and notification devices, specializing in smoke detection, carbon monoxide detection, and notification technology.
