Chamberlain licenses IP to Nortek for garage door controller
The Chamberlain Group Inc. (GCI) said in a prepared statement that it has reached an agreement with Nortek Security & Control (NSC) to license certain CGI intellectual property.

“CGI actively invests in innovation and as a result has developed a substantial intellectual property portfolio,” said James Roberts, CEO, The Chamberlain Group, in the statement. “As a market leader in access control products, we are excited to continue to grow our partnerships and enhance our ability to meet the needs of the market.”
According to the company, the agreement resolves a lawsuit filed earlier this year by CGI.
