As a result of the expiration of a prior non-compete agreement, effective today, ADT can provide service to businesses of any size, creating additional long-term growth opportunities for the company.

ADT Business, previously known as ADT Small Business, now delivers an expanded portfolio of solutions that meet the evolving needs of small and mid-sized businesses.

Extending the Reach of Business Security to Key Commercial Markets
ADT is expanding its service offerings to mid-sized businesses with commercial solutions in the top U.S. commercial security markets including Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, the New York metropolitan area, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Seattle/Tacoma, as well as the states of California, Florida, New Jersey and Texas. ADT’s initial plans call for investing in the necessary resources and making further enhancements to its product portfolio in order to capture future growth opportunities in the mid-size commercial market.  In addition to establishing a dedicated commercial sales organization serving these new markets, ADT’s existing sales organization will continue serving both current and prospective small business customers.

Building Upon a Trusted Foundation
As a security industry leader, ADT’s small business customer base has grown to more than a half million customers. With the expansion of ADT Business, the Company can now extend its industry leadership, expertise and innovations to even more businesses across the U.S., including customers with larger premises and those requiring more advanced capabilities, such as fire monitoring.

“The trust and loyalty our customers have in ADT goes far beyond the four walls of their businesses,” said Luis Orbegoso, President of ADT Business. “We deliver the products that meet their unique needs, the protection they rely on, and the peace of mind they associate with the ADT brand. We are excited about the opportunity to extend our reach with ADT Business, and help even more businesses thrive.”

Enhancing the Portfolio
From protecting pizzerias and clothing boutiques, to veterinary clinics and law offices, ADT’s customized solutions deliver true peace of mind and control to business owners across a wide range of vertical industries. ADT Business is further strengthening its solutions, products and services to meet the security, video and fire detection needs of mid-sized businesses. ADT’s commercial solution set includes enhanced intrusion and access control offerings; capabilities to monitor, inspect and service specific fire panels; and expanded video solutions. The enhanced product portfolio also includes existing solutions, such as cloud-based and local DVR CCTV recording and video surveillance, as well as ADT Pulse® Interactive Business Solutions. With ADT Pulse, business owners can have remote access, monitoring and control of their business, at any time, from any where, at the touch of a button on any web-enabled device.

Over the past year, ADT has also introduced targeted bundled solutions for Retail and Food and Beverage industries, with plans to unveil Clinical, Mechanical and Office bundled offerings. The industry-tailored bundles are designed to address unique vertical market needs with relevant solutions. As an example, the Food and Beverage bundle includes temperature sensors for freezers and refrigerators that send alerts when temperatures spike, potentially saving the business thousands of dollars from inventory spoilage and protecting patrons from possible food poisoning.
