AT&T announces home security service

AT&T has announced a home security service in the U.S. called digital life. In a promotional video, the company says the service “lets you access, monitor and control any device in your home remotely using your tablet, smartphone or PC.” The video demonstrates a user managing an alarm system, unlocking the front door and adjusting the lights and blinds from a tablet device.

Honeywell announced that Keith Baird has been appointed senior sales director for its security products business in the Americas. Baird has been with Honeywell since 1985. He will report directly to Scott Harkins, president of Honeywell Security Products Americas.
