Toshiba lands manager for surveillance, IP video unit

Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. has announced the promotion of Greg Hartzell to Senior Manager - Sales & Marketing for its Surveillance & IP Video Products business unit. Prior to this announcement, he served as the unit's Channel Sales Manager for 6 years.

“Greg is a natural choice for this position owing to his proven success in sales, marketing and technical support,” said Shinsaku Momoi, Vice President/General Manager. “His long history with Toshiba, along with his extensive knowledge of IP video surveillance and our channel, provides the ideal balance to help lead our Surveillance & IP Video group.”
 
Hartzell has more than twenty years of multi-tier experience in sales channels at the manufacturer, distributor and reseller levels. Prior to joining Toshiba in 2008, he served as Distribution Sales Manager for SolarWinds where he was responsible for launching their presence in distribution. Previously, he held sales and management positions with FrontRange Solutions, Sage Software, MicroAge and Inacom.
 
“Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products Group has shown remarkable strength in its capability to transform itself over the last 20+ years from VHS based analog recorders to our current lineup of enterprise level NVR’s,” Hartzell said. “We have a solid team in place and a great strategy for growth leveraging a strong product road map and our sales channel including key distributors, resellers/integrators/contractors and our manufacturer rep firm partners. There is no doubt, Toshiba is  poised for success.”
 
Hartzell is a Microsoft Certified Sales Specialist and Certified Novell Salesperson (CNS). He holds a B.A. in International Business from the University of Nebraska.
