Locking platform provides affordable integrated access control for commercial facilities
Onity is introducing its Integra 5 electronic locking platform to the commercial access control market.
The platform, which was introduced in 2007 to meet the highly
specialized security needs of college campuses, combines both online
and offline locking devices into a single integrated access control
system. Information about who is allowed to access specific doors,
along with any associated time and date parameters, is stored within
each individual lock, reducing the cost of installation by eliminating
the need for costly wiring to any offline doors.
The Integra 5 lock management system manages up to 65,000 doors, 65,000 active card-holders, and an unlimited number of buildings. The Windows-based software can be custom configured to meet the specific needs of any size and type of commercial facility, the vendor says. It uses a client-server based architecture, secure network transmissions, fault-tolerant network operations and an updated graphical user interface, and works with a variety of database structures, such as Firebird and Microsoft SQL. For security, network traffic is encrypted using SSL 128-bit strength for all data traffic between clients and the server. www.onity.com
