Embedded DVRs use solid state memory

Sentry Security Systems Inc. announced the release and availability of the Sentry RP and V Series of Embedded DVRs. These embedded systems cater to a wide range of commercial surveillance applications, offering a high level of system stability and security against user alteration/tampering. Combining the advantages of a PC-based DVR with the architecture of an embedded platform, this new-to-industry design uses solid state memory to protect valuable operating system and DVR software. Both series run on a Windows Embedded platform and are offered in a new, small form factor and quiet design available in up to 16 camera models. Models above 16 cameras are available in standard cases as an upgrade.

Sentry RP and V Embedded DVR Features:
· Operating system and DVR software are located on Solid State Memory (no moving parts), providing a higher degree of reliability and faster startups (up to 40%).
· Built-in capture card cooler and shock-mounted hard drive.
· Extremely quiet and compact design (8"x10"x13").
· Includes a 3-year warranty and free remote setup.
· Hybrid Capable (up to 48 channels of IP video).
· Remote access via iPhone, Blackberry and Android phones
