Technology Focus:
The York Region District School Board is expanding and improve digital surveillance in their schools.  The school board first installed cameras ten years ago to improve safety and security for students and school property.  Now, the board has engaged  i³ International to update the system and roll it out to an additional 25 schools this fall.  The new platform has been customized to the school board’s specifications to accommodate privacy issues, vandalism concerns, and reduce operating costs.
