Following the withdrawal of its largest retail customer Wal-Mart, March Networks stock took a tumble Jan. 15 of 43 per cent to just under $12 per share on news that its revenues for fiscal 2007, ending in April, were going to be less than expected.

Smiths Group and General Electric Company announced that they have signed a letter of intent to form a joint venture called Smiths GE Detection. Smiths will own 64 per cent of the joint venture while and GE will own 36 per cent.
