Honeywell touchscreen combines keypad functions with photo and video

Honeywell has released the 6280 Graphic Touchscreen Keypad. The dynamic, intuitive graphic interface serves as a security system keypad, high-resolution digital photo display and video viewer. The 6280 features the same design language as Honeywell’s Total Connect Remote Services, utilizing distinctive graphic icons and menu-driven prompts that reduce training time and simplify use. The icons are immediately recognizable by function to make operation crystal clear whether arming or disarming the system, bypassing zones or accessing the event log.

The 6280 features a large, vivid, 7” high-resolution screen that supports over 16 million colours. Homeowners display photos, create slideshows and play family videos with the simple insertion of an SD card. French Canadian and Spanish language options will soon be available. Business owners can use the display to show promotional videos and commercials, advertise sales or post employee announcements and floor plans. The 6280 works with VISTA-15P control panel models and up.
