Samsung announces mobile app providing remote access to video
Compatible with Samsung cameras and DVRs, app uses iPhone or android platforms
Samsung Techwin America, a supplier of video surveillance and security products, announces the release of the new iPOLiS Mobile app for remote video viewing of Samsung's iPOLiS network video cameras and digital video recorders (DVRs), using either the iPhone or Android mobile platforms. Users may download the app by searching the appstore or marketplace for “iPolis.”
The new iPOLiS mobile app enables viewing of live video and basic pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) control and is compatible with Samsung network video surveillance cameras, as well as several 4/8/16 Channel Samsung DVRs running version 1.06 firmware.
Samsung iPOLiS DVRs compatible with the new mobile apps are the SRD-470D (four- channel), SRD-850DC and SRD-870DC (eight-channel); and SRD-1650DC and SRD-1670DC (16-channel) digital video recorders running version 1.06 firmware.
