Panasonic Canada Inc., in partnership with LAN Power Systems is offering a new line up of power and transmission devices, the COBRA and VIPER series.
The Cobra series of products are midspan devices that reduce the cost of separate cabling in an IP camera system where the IP camera can receive power and data over a single existing category 5 or higher cable. These devices work in combination with existing Ethernet switches in a network environment.
The Viper series of products allows video surveillance over UTP structured cabling and facilitates the integration of analog security systems within existing IT infrastructure defeating the need to run traditional coaxial, power and data cabling bundles. Instead power, data and video can be carried on a single Category 5 or higher performance cable.
Both the Cobra and Viper series of products are offered in a modular powered cage and multi channel card format for design flexibility, and expansion.
