Extreme CCTV’s Moondance PowerDome PTZ camera is being used for mobile rapid-deployment CCTV in emergency fire and rescue operations in the U.K. The mobile systems, designed by Extreme’s partner Excelerate of Cardiff, Wales, incorporate a fully-transportable satellite broadband Virtual Private Network. The technology enables authorities to establish a communications link between the incident location and the headquarters or other co-ordinating agencies. The two-way communications system relays information in the form of e-mail, video, voice telephony and live streaming video from the Moondance PowerDome PTZ camera. Incorporating a secure broadband satellite connection, the system also enables secure access to all headquarter data and applications for maximum in-field response capabilities at critical events such as natural disasters, industrial accidents, terrorist attacks and blackouts.
